It's not about the imagination and the vacations. It's about working hard and looking cute.
Again, thanks for coming to visit. I sat down with my good friend Valerie for a little interview, check it out to learn a little about me and what’s in store for the future! Happy reading Huesies!
Why do you blog?
I find blogging as a way to keep my mind being fresh and creative. I work in advertising and work constantly with different brands in a business to consumer setting. It’s fun to step outside the box and explore something different like fashion. My goal for this blog is share my inspiration and cover latest style trends for men. Fashion is always evolving and its just an exciting and expressive industry to cover.
How did you start?
I started in the summer of 2013, mainly on Instagram. I got super into clothing and colors and it became part of my identity in and out of the office. So one day I started snapping some photos of my outfits daily, and some of my co-workers outfits and it kind of took off from there. This year I really took it up a whole level by going out to events, fashion shows, networking with local magazines like Modern Luxury Houston, and of course- launching this blog!
is there anything else you focus on besides fashion?
Definitely! I love lifestyle, travel, music events, and anything random. Every now and then I’ll post random bits of my life on insta and share it out. If I like it, I’ll post about it.
Who inspires your sense of style?
what’s your favorite places to shop?
what’s the most common male fashion mistake?
I would say not getting the right fit on clothing. A lot of guys either get items that are way too baggy on them or too tight on them. It’s important to pay attention to the cut and how the fabric works for you. Remember, wear the clothes, don’t let the clothes wear you!
What are you most looking forward to over the next year?
I’m really looking forward to growing and evolving the blog and brand. I always keep a notebook with me and I’m constantly writing down new ideas and concepts to work with. Eventually I’d love to start working with local menswear boutiques here in Houston and work on styling for photo editorials and doing bro-bono work with my glam team in styling people. As far as the blog, I’d love to also travel and cover major fashion events, and eventually make it out to NY Fashionweek and Paris Fashionweek, etc. There’s just so much! But little steps…
Special thank you!
